Introduction to Blogger:

Blogger is a service offered by Google.com for FREE where you get a free Sub-Domain and free Web hosting Account. Thus you don’t need to invest a single penny in Blogger.com to start your Blog. However with free there is always some restrictions that will be explained later.

The difference between a Custom-Domain and Sub-Domain is the following:
  • Custom-Domain is not free. You will need to buy it on annual basis from Domain Registrars. A custom-domain starts with or without WWW and ends with .Com, .Net, .ORG or any other TLD (top-level domain) extension. For example http://www.yourdomain.com OR http://yourdomain.com
  • Sub-Domain is FREE and is part of the Custom-Domain. For example http://blog.yourdomain.com OR http://myblog.yourdomain.com
Blogger.com gives you a free Sub-Domain which is associated with their default Custom-Domain. Their default custom domain is http://www.blogspot.com and you can register your choice of free Sub-Domain to start a blog. For example http://mydomain.blogspot.com.
